Experience
I have worked in Education for the past ten years, and in that time I have worked tirelessly to develop myself as an educator. I earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Fourth Grade at the University of Houston - Downtown. I went on to earn a master's degree at the University of North Texas and a Principal's Certification at Lamar University. I am also certified to teach English as a Second Language. My experience has included teaching first and second grade and tutoring students up to the fourth grade level in all subjects. I make an effort to familiarize myself with all of my students because it helps me to understand their needs and how I can best meet those needs. This shows the student that I care, creates a supportive environment, and prevents wasted time. It also models a positive approach to studying for students who might not have that influence otherwise. I am currently looking to tutor new students in Math, Reading, Science, English, Reading, Writing, and ESL. I can also tutor students preparing for the ISEE and SSAT.When I'm not teaching, I love to spend time with family and friends.
